As well as a range of emotions you and your partner may experience during or following birth, it's common for women to experience the 'baby blues' in the first few days after childbirth. Signs include being teary, irritable or oversensitive in her interactions with others and having lots of mood changes.
The baby blues usually disappear within a few days without treatment, other than support and understanding. If they don't go away, it might be a sign of something more serious, and if so you may need treatment.
