You can help to manage stress and stay healthy by:
- Eating regular, healthy meals, exercising regularly and avoiding drugs and alcohol.
- Sleeping! Take every available opportunity to rest, ie. when the baby's asleep.
- Taking time to do things that you find relaxing - even if it's just for ten minutes.
There'll be times when you feel overwhelmed and at these times it can be helpful to put your baby in a safe place and take a few minutes for yourself. If negative feelings are frequently recurring, it's important to seek advice early.
